Salah satu wahana Disneyland Annaheim, California, Amerika Serikat (AS) terbakar pada Sabtu (22/4) waktu setempat. Wahana Dragon Attraction tersebut terbakar sesaat melakukan pertunjukkan.
Disneyland Batalkan Pertunjukkan Api Buntut Kebakaran Wahana Naga di AS
Menurut keterangan pihak taman bermain, kebakaran tersebut terjadi setelah wahana robot naga tersebut melakukan pertunjukkan semburan api. Semburan dari naga tersebut diduga menimbulkan rembetan api yang menyebabkan kebakaran.
Beruntung tidak ada korban jiwa dalam insiden tersebut dan hanya menyebabkan kerugian material. Buntut dari insiden itu, Disney langsung mengumumkan penangguhan atau pembatalan sementara seluruh pertunjukkan yang melibatkan api di wahananya.
«Kami untuk sementara menangguhkan efek api yang serupa dengan yang digunakan di Fantasmic taman Disneyland di acara-acara tertentu dan pengalaman hiburan secara global karena ingin berhati-hati,» kata pejabat Disneyland dalam sebuah pernyataan pada Senin (24/4).
Menurut laman resminya, kembang api jadi salah satu efek khusus yang ditampilkan dalam setiap pertunjukkan «Fantasmic» yang telah digelar sejak lama di Disneyland dan Walt Disney World di Florida.
Fantasmic adalah pertunjukan luar ruangan di mana Mickey Mouse membayangkan melawan penjahat klasik Disney dan menampilkan efek air, laser, dan proyeksi sebelum kembang api di bagian akhir. Agar lebih epik, pertunjukkan Fantasmic biasanya digelar di malam hari.
Enggak hanya di Disneyland, Disney World Hollywood Studios juga memiliki atraksi yang hampir serupa.
Hanya saja, Disney World Hollywood Studios menggunakan sistem yang berbeda, sehingga pertunjukkan di Florida akan digelar seperti biasa. Mengutip laman resminya pada Senin (24/4), Fantasmic dijadwalkan akan digelar pada pukul 21.00 malam waktu setempat.
Adapun, pada tanggal 1 dan 2 Mei, atraksi tersebut ditutup untuk perawatan rutin.
Tanggapan Disneyland
Menurut pejabat setempat, atraksi naga bernapas api tersebut akan tetap digelar hanya saja efek apinya akan dihilangkan untuk sementara. Biasanya pertunjukkan Fantasmic digelar selama hampir 30 menit.
Berkaitan dengan insiden tersebut, pihaknya belum bisa memastikan kapan atraksi naga akan beroperasi secara normal.
«Kami belum memiliki pembaruan status untuk diberikan,» pungkasnya.
Para pengunjung Disneyland pun diminta untuk selalu memantau perkembangan terbaru terkait wahana, jam operasional, dan lain sebagainya di situs resmi Disneyland.
